Holsem Coffee

Created for Holsem Coffee in North Park, this site-specific art installation was designed in direct response to the existing marble and brass elements within the interior. A series of original oil paintings introduces softer forms, organic movement, and layered texture, creating a thoughtful visual contrast with the space’s polished architectural materials.

The paintings were developed to complement rather than compete with the surrounding design, bringing warmth and a sense of visual balance to the interior. The interplay between the expressive oil paintings, marble surfaces, and brass details creates a layered environment that feels both contemporary and inviting.

Blending original oil painting, interior design, and site-specific artwork, the installation demonstrates how art can shape the atmosphere of a space while responding to its existing architecture and materials.
